Looking like it rolled right of the screen of a science fiction movie, the Chevrolet FNR concept car was introduced at the Shanghai Motor Show this week. With magnetic, in-wheel electric motors that charge wirelessly and an autonomous self-driving mode, the FNR (for “Find New Roads”) expands upon advancements in vehicle technology that are already finding their way into vehicles on the road today. While we won’t see anything as futuristic the FNR in our showroom for quite a while, when the 2016 Chevy Volt arrives this fall, it will be equipped with an electric powered drive unit that gives each axle its own motor to improve performance and efficiency. And the advanced safety features available on many current Chevrolet models, like Rear Park Assist, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Front Automatic Braking, are the predecessors of fully self-driving vehicles like the FNR. To see the latest and greatest in vehicle technology that you can drive home today, come browse Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory here at Phillips Chevrolet.

Chevrolet has teased us yet again regarding the soon-to-be-revealed redesigned 2016 Chevy Camaro. This week, they’ve revealed details about new technologies in the 2016 Camaro that will allow drivers to tailor their behind-the-wheel experience to perfectly match traffic and road conditions, as well as the driver’s mood. This is accomplished via the Drive Mode Selector which calibrates throttle progression, steering, stability control and more for one of four settings - Snow/Ice, Tour, Sport, and - on SS models – Track. The new Camaro will also feature an enhanced dual-mode exhaust system with electronically controlled valves that can adjust both performance and sound levels. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is scheduled to debut on May 16th, but we don’t blame you if you can’t wait that long. Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory here at Phillips Chevrolet includes a great selection of Chevy Camaros available with 0% financing for 60 months for qualified buyers.
After only about six months on the market, we don’t think it’s too soon to say that the Chevrolet Colorado mid-sized pickup truck is a huge hit! No other pick-up of any size has been selling as fast as the Colorado, which on average spends only 16 days on a dealer’s lot before heading home with a happy new owner. In fact, the Colorado has been selling so quickly that a third shift was added to its assembly plant to keep up with demand. “Chevrolet Colorado was designed as a go-anywhere vehicle, and it is making big tracks in the midsize truck segment,” said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager. “With a great design and segment-leading capabilities and efficiency, it offers customers everything they want in a midsize truck – including the things they can’t get from competitors’ trucks.” The Chevy Colorado is in stock and available right now as part of Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, but hurry – these Colorados don’t stick around here at Phillips Chevrolet for very long!
