The SS Sedan is Chevrolet’s first and only vehicle to offer standard Automatic Parking Assist that aids drivers with parallel and perpendicular parking. Sensors on the front and rear bumpers detect the depth and width of parking spaces to provide hands-free parking help. The driver, following instructions on the Driver Information Center of the Chevrolet SS, controls the accelerator and brake while the Automatic Parking Assist controls the steering. A lot of people feel anxious in situations where experience is required to park a vehicle, like parallel parking and choose to pass up the parking space. Michelle Krebs, a senior analyst for AutoTrader.com said, “They have broad appeal from newly licensed young drivers to older drivers and are also attractive to people who live in increasingly congested urban areas.” If you are uneasy about tough parking spaces, stop in at Phillips Chevrolet and take a look at the Chevy SS - it could alleviate all your parking worries!

With the help of Chevrolet, 32 MBA students will trek across the country to help 50 businesses in 25 cities. Chevrolet is providing 12 extended-range electric Chevy Volts to help expand this unique program that matches local entrepreneurs with MBA students to revitalize small businesses across America. MBAs Across America was launched last year with the goal of offering free business counseling to local entrepreneurs, and it was a great success! One of the 25 cities that will be visited this summer is Detroit where they are expected to help seven metro area businesses. GM CEO Mary Barra is happy the program is focusing some of its time in Detroit: “We’re delighted to be a partner in this extraordinary program and we could not be more proud that Detroit is at the heart of it.” The Chevy Volt will expose MBAs to the quiet and efficient EV driving experience as they travel throughout the country. With 38 all-electric miles on a single charge, the Volt seamlessly switches to a gasoline-powered generator that will keep these students cruising as they search to help many small businesses.
It’s not too long now before the 2015 Chevy City Express small cargo van arrives here at Phillips Chevrolet, and in anticipation of its arrival, General Motors has announced that they will be phasing out the current Chevy Express 1500 cargo van. The larger, more powerful Express 2500 and 3500 vans will remain in the Chevy lineup for bigger jobs, but the market has spoken and buyers looking for lighter duty commercial vehicles prefer a van like the City Express with all the same utility as the Express 1500, but better fuel economy. So if you’re a fan of the Chevrolet Express 1500 van, don’t wait too long – we still have plenty in stock here at Phillips Chevrolet, but one they’re gone, they’re gone!
