When the new 2015 Chevy Colorado arrives in our showroom this fall, it will be a good 880 to 1,400 pounds lighter than a full size truck. That difference doesn’t just come from the reduced dimensions from full-size to mid-size, but also from the extensive use of lightweight materials, including high-strength steels and aluminum. But that lighter weight doesn’t mean diminished strength – the Colorado is expected to deliver 6,700 pounds of available towing capability, the best in its segment. And though the numbers haven’t been finalized, the Chevrolet Colorado is expected to lead the mid-size truck segment in fuel efficiency, as well, making it the best brawn for the buck in a pick-up truck.

Motor Trend recently put the 2014 Chevrolet SS to the test, pitting it in a head to head competition against the Chrysler 300-SRT to see which car has what it takes to wear the crown in the realm of American performance sedans. Not only did the Chevy SS outperform the 300 in spirited runs around the track, it also ruled to road test, proving quieter, more comfortable, and more enjoyable to drive than its pricier adversary. As Motor Trend describes it, “The SS is a good car in every situation, whether on the racetrack, your favorite driving road, or just cruising down the highway.” Stop in at Phillips Chevrolet to experience the performance of the Chevrolet SS for yourself.

The Chevy Silverado’s EcoTec3 V-6 engine provides big performance and big fuel economy in a small package. With its large 4.3-liter displacement, this engine provides 305 lb-ft of torque and 7,600 lbs. of available towing, both of which lead the class for a standard V-6. In fact, if you’re replacing a 10 year old truck that has a V-8 with a new Chevrolet Silverado boasting an EcoTec3 V-6, you’ll most likely see comparable if not improved performance, but with a big boost in fuel economy thanks to direct fuel injection, continuously variable valve timing, and active fuel management. Stop in at Phillips Chevrolet to test drive a new Silverado and experience the difference for yourself.

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to accept the “Edmunds.com 5 Star Premier Dealer” award for 2014. We’re pleased to be counted among a small number of elite dealerships across the country that have maintained an average customer sales review rating of five stars over the past two years. Ron Davis (left) from Edmunds visited us to present the award to Phillips President Curtis Pascarella (center) and General Manager Mike Maheras (right). Everyone here at Phillips Chevy would like to extend a big “Thank You!” to Ron and Edmunds, and especially to all of our great customers who have shared their Phillips experiences on Edmunds.com.
February was a great month for the Chevrolet Cruze – sales figures were 21 percent higher than for the same month last year, and in fact, more Cruzes were sold in February 2014 than in any other month since it first went on sale in the U.S. in 2008. And because the Chevy Cruze is so popular, additional shifts have been added to the schedule at the Lordstown, OH assembly plant to keep the Cruzes coming.
