• Chevrolet Unveils 2018 Equinox

    9/23/2016 4:20:13 PM - by Amy Riley

What better day than the autumnal equinox for Chevrolet to unveil the all-new redesigned 2018 Chevy Equinox? As Chevrolet’s most popular crossover utility vehicle, the Equinox provides the utility of an SUV paired with the maneuverability and efficiency of a sedan. And the Equinox becomes even more efficient for 2018 – an available 1.6L turbo-diesel engine is expected to offer a GM-estimated 40 mpg highway. Other engine options are a 1.5L turbo with a GM-estimated 31 mpg highway, and a 2.0L turbo expected to provide 252 hp and a GM-estimated 28 mpg on the highway. The redesigned exterior carries the design cues found in other recently redesigned Chevrolet models like the Malibu and Volt, with wind-tunnel-tested curves to maximize aerodynamics. The new Chevrolet Equinox will also feature a host of infotainment and safety technologies including Apple CarPlay,  Android Auto, and an available OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, plus available Safety Alert Seat, Surround Vision, Collision Alert with Following Distance Indicator, Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking,  Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. “We’ve got the strongest truck business in the industry and we’ve reinvigorated our car lineup with Volt, Cruze and Malibu,” said Alan Batey, Global Chevrolet president. “We’re applying the same customer focus to grow our crossover/SUV business — starting with the Chevrolet Equinox.” Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort and Lansing has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory including a huge selection of current-generation Equinox, with several priced 15% below MSRP.

  • Chevrolet Partners for Integrated Trailering

    9/22/2016 4:17:12 PM - by Amy Riley

One of the reasons drivers choose a full size truck like the Chevrolet Silverado is so they can tow a trailer for work or play. Chevrolet just announced that they have teamed with the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) and the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) to develop future generations of both trucks and trailers that work together seamlessly for a more convenient towing experience. “Our owners are often towing something, from an RV to construction equipment, that is more valuable than their truck,” said Tim Herrick, General Motors future truck executive chief engineer. “Unequivocally, they tell us that they are looking for a better towing experience. Safer, easier, with more integration between their trailer and their truck.” Both Chevrolet and the trailer industry are developing technologies that improve safety and communication between trailer and truck. Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort and Lansing has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory, including a great selection of Silverados ready to tow whatever you can throw behind them.

We’re a few weeks into our construction project here at Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, and a lot has changed! And this is only the beginning! This $2 million construction project is expected to be completed next spring, but in the meantime our sales and service departments will keep providing the service, selection, and savings that you’ve come to expect from Phillips Chevrolet.  Keep an eye on this blog for updates on our construction as it progresses, or stop by and take a look for yourself. • 2017 Chevrolet Volt Receives IIHS Top Safety Pick+

    9/19/2016 1:46:51 PM - by Amy Riley

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) tested the 2017 Chevy Volt and we are pleased to report that it has earned the Top Safety Pick+ award - the highest rating available. In order to qualify for the Top Safety Pick award, a vehicle must earn high ratings in five different tests. The Volt earned the highest rating of “good” in all five of those tests, which include the small overlap front, moderate overlap front, and side crash tests, as well as the roof strength test and head restraints and seats tests. The Volt received a “superior” rating, the highest rating, for its optional Front Automatic Braking and Low-Speed Front Automatic Braking systems. To add even more safety, the Chevy Volt offers advanced safety technologies like Lane Keep Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Forward Collision Alert. The 2017 Chevy Volt is in stock as part of Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory here at Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort & Lansing!
