Only ten years ago, when you were shopping for a pick-up truck with enough power and torque to meet all of your towing and hauling needs, you knew you’d need a V-8 engine. But today, thanks to the 2014 Chevy Silverado’s 4.3L EcoTec3 V-6 engines with advanced engine technologies like direct fuel injection, continuously variable valve timing, and Active Fuel Management, you can get the same power and even better torque than you did with a 4.8L Vortex V-8 in a 2004 Silverado. Plus, you’ll get a significant bump in fuel efficiency, too! Chevy engineers are constantly working to advance efficiency without sacrificing power – we can’t wait to see what they’ll have in store for us in 2024!

Edmunds.com announced the winners of their Top Rated Vehicle and Most Popular Vehicle Awards, and we’re delighted to report that Chevy has raked in nine new trophies! The Chevy Traverse and Corvette Stingray both achieved Top Rated Vehicle status based on their performance on Edmunds’ test track in comparison to other vehicles in their segments. The Stingray and Traverse also earned Most Popular awards, along with the Chevy Camaro, Impala, Colorado, Silverado, and Tahoe. Vehicles are determined to be Most Popular based on searches and page views for those vehicles on Edmunds.com. And of course we know that Edmunds’ taste is impeccable, since they recently named Phillips Chevrolet a Five Star Premier Dealer!

The Kogod School of Business has just released their 2014 Made in America Auto Index which determines how much American development, investment, and labor goes into making a vehicle. Of the 28 vehicles that ranked in the top 10 (includes ties), 18 were made by GM, more than any other automaker, and 8 are Chevrolets, more than any other brand. In fact, the Corvette Stingray ties for first place, the Chevy Traverse ties for second, and the Chevy Equinox ties for third. "This index provides the public with a more accurate reflection of the true country of origin of a car and the impact of its purchase on the US economy," said Associate Professor Frank DuBois, the index's author and an expert in global supply chains.
While a major redesign for the Chevrolet Cruze is expected for the 2016 model year, that doesn’t mean that the 2015 model won’t have anything new to offer. In addition to a refreshed exterior that borrows some design cues from the Malibu and Impala, the 2015 Cruze will also include interior enhancements like easier to use cupholders, door lock buttons relocated to the doors, and a trunk release button on the center console for greater convenience. The 2015 Chevy Cruze will also offer enhanced connectivity with Text Message Alerts that read incoming texts through the car’s sound system, greater Siri eyes-free integration for iPhone users, and an OnStar 4G LTE connection that allows the car to serve as its own WiFi hub for up to seven devices. The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze will arrive in our showroom later this year – we can’t wait!
